Hunting & Fishing Licenses
As an authorized agent for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Duval County Tax Collector’s Office offers a full range of hunting and fishing licenses.
How to Purchase a License
You can buy or renew hunting and fishing licenses:
- In person at any Duval County Tax Collector branch
- Online: Purchase Licenses Here
- By phone: Call 1-888-347-4356 or 1-888-486-8356 (Note: small service fee applies)
A valid license must be carried with you at all times while hunting or fishing.
Disabled Resident Licenses
Florida residents with a total and permanent disability may qualify for a Resident Disability Hunting and Fishing License.
What You’ll Need:
- Proof of Florida residency
- Valid Hunter Safety Certification (for persons born on or after June 1, 1975)
- Certification of permanent disability, click here for a list of acceptable documents.
What’s Included:
- Authorization to fish (freshwater and marine) and hunt (within state and federal guidelines)
- Exemptions from most additional permits, including the no-cost migratory bird permit and wildlife management area quota hunt applications
What’s NOT Included:
- Federal Duck Stamp
- Antlerless Deer Permits
- Commercial fishing or trapping privileges

Senior Citizen Licenses
Florida residents age 65 or older are not required to purchase a license for recreational hunting and fishing (non-commercial use).
Simply carry proof of age and residency—such as a Florida driver license or voter registration card—while participating.
Note: This exemption does not include the Federal Duck Stamp, which must be purchased separately.

Military Sportsman’s License
Active duty and retired military personnel may qualify for discounted Military Gold Sportsman’s Licenses.
